These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the BuildBeacon.io website, platform, and services (collectively, the "Services") provided by Algoventis GmbH ("BuildBeacon.io," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using our Services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Services.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or otherwise using our Services, you accept these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and any additional terms and conditions that may apply to specific Services. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Algoventis GmbH. You must be at least 18 years old to use our Services.

2. Changes to the Terms

We may modify these Terms from time to time. Any changes will be effective upon posting the updated Terms on our website. Your continued use of the Services following such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

3. User Accounts and Responsibilities

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to: (a) provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating an account; (b) maintain the security of your password and accept all risks of unauthorized access to your account; and (c) promptly notify us if you discover or otherwise suspect any security breaches related to the Services.

4. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to use the Services for any illegal or unauthorized purpose. You will not:

  • Violate any applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights.
  • Engage in any activity that is harmful, fraudulent, deceptive, threatening, harassing, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or another user’s account.
  • Use the Services to store or transmit malicious code, such as viruses or worms.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Services.

5. Team Collaboration Features

Our Services include team collaboration features that allow you to invite other users to access your webhook data. When using these features:

  • You are responsible for managing access permissions and user roles
  • You must only invite users who have legitimate need to access the webhook data
  • Invited users must register with the email address used for the invitation
  • You can revoke access at any time through the user management interface
  • All team members are bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy

6. Webhook Management

Our Services allow you to create, manage, and delete webhooks. When using webhook management features:

  • You are responsible for the security of your webhook secrets and IDs
  • Webhook deletion is permanent and irreversible - all associated data will be lost
  • Secret and ID regeneration invalidates previous credentials immediately
  • You must update your CI/CD system settings when regenerating credentials

7. Intellectual Property

All content, trademarks, logos, and other intellectual property on BuildBeacon.io are the property of Algoventis GmbH or its licensors. You may not use our intellectual property without our prior written consent.

8. User-Generated Content

You are responsible for the content you upload, submit, or share through our Services, including webhook names, descriptions, and team member invitations. You grant Algoventis GmbH a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute your content as necessary to operate and improve the Services.

9. Data and Privacy

We take your privacy seriously. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information. You have the right to delete your account and all associated data at any time through your account settings.

10. DMCA Copyright Policy

Algoventis GmbH (operating as BuildBeacon.io) respects the intellectual property rights of others. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), we will respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with the law. If you believe your copyright-protected work has been posted on our Services without authorization, you may submit a copyright infringement notification to our Copyright Agent, as listed in the "Contact Us" section.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. ALGOVENTIS GMBH DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Algoventis GmbH is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our Services, including but not limited to data loss, service interruptions, or webhook failures.

13. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Algoventis GmbH, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs or debt, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees) arising from: (i) your use of and access to the Services; (ii) your violation of any term of these Terms; or (iii) your violation of any third-party right, including without limitation any copyright or privacy right.

14. Payment and Refund Policy

Payment processing for our Services is handled by Dodo Payments, which acts as our payment processor and Merchant of Record. By using our paid Services, you agree to Dodo Payments' terms and policies, which can be found at https://dodopayments.com/terms-of-use.

14-Day Free Trial

We offer a 14-day free trial for all paid subscriptions and services:

  • You can use our paid features free of charge for 14 days after signup
  • Payment will only be charged after the 14-day trial period ends
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time during the trial period without being charged
  • After the trial period ends and payment is processed, our standard refund policy applies as governed by applicable laws

For any payment-related disputes or issues, please contact us first before initiating chargebacks with your payment provider.

15. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to our Services at any time, without notice, for any reason, including but not limited to violations of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Services will immediately cease. If you wish to terminate your account, you may do so through your account settings, which will permanently delete all your data. All provisions of the Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including, without limitation, ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.

16. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of Switzerland, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

For Users in the United States: Mandatory Arbitration. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered by a neutral arbitrator, rather than in court. This includes any disputes about whether this arbitration clause can be enforced. You and Algoventis GmbH also agree to waive any right to a jury trial and to participate in class-action lawsuits.
